These two conjunctions used together below, link two definitions: "on the contrary" and "in the event that." Simply put: "In the event one acts contrary..." What follows those two words should be carefully noted by all who wear the name Christian.

BE FORGIVING

"For if you forgive others for their transgressions, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive others, then your Father will not forgive your transgressions.

BE LOVING

For the whole Law is fulfilled in one word, in the statement, "You shall love your neighbor as yourself." But if you bite and devour one another, take care that you are not consumed by one another.
