Things I Don't Need to Know
The tenets of every religion.
The major teachings of every denomination.
Every wrong answer to a religious question.
What others say about the Bible.
ALL I NEED TO KNOW
The teachings of Christ, the truth (as revealed in the Scriptures).
I then have a standard to compare all teachings and beliefs.
Everything that is contrary to the teachings in the Bible is to be rejected.
All that agrees with the Bible can be confidently accepted.
It is paramount that I know what is the true doctrine of Christ.
Hosea, the prophet, lamented, "My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge."
Hosea 4:6
The words of Jesus make it clear, "If you continue in My word, then you are truly
disciples of Mine; and you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free."
John 8:31-32
