Thursday's Thought A Weekly Inspirational Message "Something to help you through the remainder of the week." |
Thursday, April 6, 2006 Preventing Regret It’s better to prevent than vent! Prevent: to stop or hinder something from happening, especially by advance planning or action. Vent: to unburden oneself of a strong pent-up emotion. Don't Always Be Broadcasting When there are many words, transgression is unavoidable, but he who restrains his lips is wise. Proverbs 10:19 Reign in the Tongue He who restrains his words has knowledge, and he who has a cool spirit is a man of understanding. Even a fool, when he keeps silent, is considered wise; when he closes his lips, he is considered prudent. Proverbs 17:27-28 Be Slow to Speak, Quick to Hear He who gives an answer before he hears, it is folly and shame to him. Proverbs 18:13 Do you see a man who is hasty in his words? There is more hope for a fool than for him. Proverbs 29:20 |
