Thursday, November 23, 2006 How to Be More Blessed! To desire to be blessed (a state of happiness, pleasure, or contentment) is admirable. However, it is not secured by receiving but by giving. Not by what comes to you but by what proceeds from you. The life and teachings of Jesus clearly exemplify this fact. "In everything I showed you that by working hard in this manner you must help the weak and remember the words of the Lord Jesus, that He Himself said, 'It is more blessed to give than to receive.'" Acts 20:35 GIVE TO BE BLESSED Give a helping hand when the opportunity arises. Give encouragement and support to those who are struggling. Give thanks for what is done to you and for you. Give compliments and praise for the efforts of others. Give honor when honor is due. Give thanks to God who has given us all things. Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ. Ephesians 1:3
By giving, your cup of blessings will surely overflow. |
