"For My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways My ways," declares the Lord. "For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts."
God is infinite; we are finite.
He is immortal, we are mortal.
He can look down and see everything.
We look up and see only what He has revealed.
Our ability to grasp ideas and concepts is limited by our mortality.
We make a terrible mistake when we attempt to limit God's power
by what we can perceive and understand.
We blunder when we
cull parts of the Bible because we cannot grasp how it could be so.
We falter when we
doubt the teaching found in a passage of Scripture because we do not understand.
We err when we
reject a Bible principle because it is in opposition to our way of thinking.
Oh, the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgments and unfathomable His ways! For who has known the mind of the Lord, or who became His counselor? For who has first given to Him that it might be paid back to Him again? For from Him and through Him and to Him are all things. To Him be the glory forever.
