Few people make a deliberate choice between good and evil; the choice is usually between what one wants to do and what one ought to do.
You ought to say, "If the Lord wills, we shall live and also do this or that." But as it is, you boast in your arrogance; all such boasting is evil. Therefore, to one who knows the right thing to do, and does
not do it, to him it is sin.
It's hard for the Lord to direct a man if he hasn't make up his mind
which way he wants to go.
"Who is the man who fears the Lord? He will instruct him in
the way he should choose."

"And if it is disagreeable in your sight to serve the Lord, choose for yourselves today whom you will serve: whether the gods which your fathers served which were beyond the River, or the gods of the
Amorites in whose land you are living; but as for me
