REPENTANCE

(Four R’s)

Remorse–moral anguish

Regret–sorrow (godly)

Reform–make necessary corrections

Restore–make restitution when possible


If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

1 John 1:9

For the sorrow that is according to the will of God produces a repentance without regret, leading to salvation, but

the sorrow of the world produces death.

FORGIVENESS

(Four F’s)

Forgive– absolve the offender

Forget – disregard the offense

Forgo – no thought of revenge

Forbear –be patient, long suffering


Be kind to one another, tender-hearted, forgiving each other,

just as God in Christ also has forgiven you.

Ephesians 4:32


For if you forgive others for their transgressions, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive others,

then your Father will not forgive your transgressions.
