CHOICES

CHOOSING

Few people make a deliberate choice between good and evil; the choice is usually between what one wants to do

and what one ought to do.

WANT VS. OUGHT

Want–one desires to do. Ought–some standard of conduct that one believes in. No wonder some today do not want to think in terms of "ought"– it inhibits their behavior.

OBVIOUS, BUT OFTEN IGNORED

Choices are forks in the road. Each fork leads to a destination. Which destination is reached is determined by the choice made.

End of story!

THE BUCK STOPS HERE

It's foolish to attempt to blame others for the choices we make. (We vigorously reject being blamed for their choices. Right?)

INDECISION

It's hard for the Lord to direct a man if he hasn't make up his mind which way he wants to go.

Elijah came near to all the people and said, "How long will you hesitate between two opinions? If the LORD is God, follow Him; but if Baal, follow him." But the people did not answer him a word.
