Rich Christians
One definition of "rich" is having great abundance. One can be a rich Christian
without having material riches, by having an abundance of what constitutes true
riches.
RICH IN MERCY
by being merciful.
But God, being rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us.
Ephesians 2:4
Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful.
Luke 6:26
RICH IN FAITH
by obeying from the heart.
Listen, my beloved brethren: did not God choose the poor of this world to be rich in
faith and heirs of the kingdom which He promised to those who love Him?
James 2:5
RICH IN THE WORD OF CHRIST
by searching the Scriptures.
Let the word of Christ richly dwell within you, with all wisdom teaching and
admonishing one another with psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing
with thankfulness in your hearts to God.
Colossians 3:16
RICH IN GOOD WORKS
by using one’s abilities.
Instruct them to do good, to be rich in good works,
to be generous and ready to share.
