HUMBLE, HUMILITY

Marked by meekness or modesty in behavior, attitude, or spirit; not arrogant or prideful. Showing deferential or submissive respect.

Sincere humility attracts. Self-praise detracts.

Let another praise you, and not your own mouth; a stranger,

and not your own lips.

Proverbs 27:2

Others have wishes, wants, and needs that are as important to them

as mine are to me.

Do nothing from selfishness or empty conceit, but with humility of mind regard one another as more important than yourselves; do not merely look out for your own personal interests, but also for the interests of others.

Philippians 2:3-4

Be friendly to all, especially those who are most in need of a friend.

Be of the same mind toward one another; do not be haughty in mind, but associate with the lowly. Do not be wise in your own estimation.

Romans 12:16
